Contracts Manager - 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing our contracts, protecting our commercial interests, and ensuring successful project completion. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing contract administration, negotiation, risk management, and project execution within our Power Generation & Power Transmission Systems projects. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and negotiation skills, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.   


Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Administration: 

  • Draft, negotiate, amend, and prepare Contract Documents, Agreements, Terms & Conditions, and other necessary documentation to safeguard the company's commercial position and contractual rights. 
  • Manage Subcontract Documents and correspondence to ensure effective protection of company interests. 
  • Collaborate in sourcing materials, components, and services, crafting appropriate agreements. 


2. Contract Negotiation & Proposals:

  • Assist in tender preparation and negotiation, ensuring that contract terms and conditions are viable and aligned with customer technical and business objectives. 


3. Risk Analysis and Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks to prevent disputes and ensure protection of company rights. 


4. Tender Evaluation & Contract Review:

  • Evaluate Subcontractor tenders, generate tender reports, and provide recommendations for selection. 
  • Review contract content for alignment with company and client requirements. 


5. Business Planning & Reporting:

  • Regularly review project accounts, reconcile financials, and ensure timely and accurate invoicing. 
  • Develop medium and short-term budgets and forecasts aligned with corporate targets and goals. 
  • Analyze budget vs. actual financial performance, recommend actions to meet targets. 


6. Variations and Changes Management:

  • Establish a system to monitor and control variation orders, change orders, and site instructions to protect company rights. 
  • Review and protect company interests in Variation Orders and site instructions. 


7. Claim Management:

  • Establish, present, and evaluate claims, and prepare counter claims as needed to safeguard company rights. 
  • Effectively resolve claims and negotiate final settlements to maintain project progress. 


8. Project Administration & Execution:

  • Maintain accurate records and reports, establish control procedures, and prepare meeting minutes. 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion. 
  • Coordinate works among stakeholders, including the Owner, Consultant, subcontractors, and the company. 
  • Supervise local works and ensure resource optimization. 


9. Effective Communication:

  • Establish and maintain strong communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and project parties.

  • Proficient in Office 365 tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
