We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Development to lead our some of our solar project initiatives portfolio cross commercial and utility-scale sectors. As a Director of Development, you will spearhead our efforts to identify, develop, and execute solar projects, driving growth in our commercial and utility-scale portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the development of solar projects from inception to construction-ready status
  • Identify and evaluate potential project sites, conducting feasibility studies and due diligence
  • Negotiate land agreements, interconnection contracts, and power purchase agreements (PPAs)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and legal to ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, utilities, and local authorities
  • Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring optimal resource allocation
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market opportunities in the renewable energy sector

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in solar project development, with a focus on commercial and utility-scale projects
  • Proven track record of successfully developing solar projects from concept to completion
  • Strong understanding of solar technology, project finance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial modelling
