Job Purpose:

  • Leadership: Lead and develop the Projects Engineering team within the [Private Networks Division]. This includes accountability for health & safety, the technical development of engineers, and ensuring technical delivery excellence.
  • Senior Leadership Role: Operate as part of the senior leadership team, collaborating with peers to drive business improvements and positive change.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with both Operations and Sales teams to ensure sufficient, skilled resources are available, and support key account planning and customer satisfaction.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Health & Safety: Ensure the Engineering Team operates under the highest standards of health & safety.
  • Growth and Profitability: Drive business growth, ensuring that a skilled workforce is available to meet demand while maximizing profitability.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the highest standards of technical excellence in project delivery, leading to high customer satisfaction.
  • Process Compliance and Improvement: Ensure adherence to company processes and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage resources to maximize utilization.
  • Best Practices: Ensure lessons learned and best practices are integrated into engineering processes to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
  • Team Development: Lead, develop, and motivate the Engineering Team to promote talent retention, personal development, and high engagement.
  • Ambassadorship: Be recognized as an active ambassador of [the company].

Desired Qualifications & Professional Membership(s):

  • Relevant engineering qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent)
  • Recognized safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent)

Desired Knowledge & Experience:

  • Direct leadership experience in a technical engineering environment
  • Knowledge and experience in driving health & safety culture, compliance, and safe systems of work
  • Experience providing technical advice and problem-solving to field-based engineers
  • Experience in leading, managing, and developing a team of people
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
