Environmental Permitting Specialist / Manager (Rome)
ROLE PURPOSE
- Analyze constraints of proposed initiatives
- Produce and revise technical and administrative documents for obtaining authorizations for photovoltaic plants
- Coordinate and interface with Project Managers for environmental permitting activities according to the project schedule
- Coordinate between internal and external professionals to produce documents required for obtaining authorizations
- Prepare, collect, and store general contracts for assigning tasks to external professionals, and interface with the legal department for administrative and legal issues
- Verify regulatory updates and implement company best practices and minimum requirements for project verification and adaptation
- Analyze and implement company best practices in the agrivoltaic field (MASE Guidelines for Agrivoltaic Plants)
- Attend technical meetings with local and state authorities
- Conduct inspections and site visits to verify the suitability of areas for project development, coordinate technical inspections with service providers and agencies, and monitor project progress
- Facilitate communication between the technical team and external entities
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Environmental Permitting Specialist in the photovoltaic sector
- Experience in international contexts is preferred
- Knowledge of documentary, technical, and regulatory requirements for establishing large-scale solar power plants
- Ability to manage relationships with all entities involved in the permitting process
- Excellent command of the English language
- Proactive with excellent communication skills at all levels, strong analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit
