HV Electrical Fitter / SAP (Wakefield)

To support their ongoing growth, they are seeking a HV Electrical Fitter / SAP to join their team. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate not only about the industry but also about supporting their teams in delivering essential services around the clock, making a significant impact on local communities.


Your New Role

- Maintain transformers and switchgear across various client sites in the UK.
- Work with HV, LV, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.
- Perform service and remedial work on equipment.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and daily site reports.
- Conduct electrical testing and fault finding.
- Execute mechanical modifications and repairs.
- Perform routine PPM (planned preventive maintenance) according to manufacturer standards.
- Proactively report equipment faults.
- Test LV protection and accurately report the results.
- Install HV/LV panels and transformers to manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

- BTEC in Electrical Engineering
- Thorough understanding of electrical power systems up to 33KV
- Strong knowledge and understanding of transformers
- Operational experience as a HV Electrical Fitter
- Ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Maintain high standards of work on client sites
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Must be eligible for SC/CTC clearance and DBS check
- Possess a full UK driving license
