- Actively identify and develop suitable locations for open-space solar systems and battery storage across all federal states, focusing on areas with viable grid connections.
- Lead efforts to identify new sites based on the client's greenfield strategy.
- Negotiate options, lease agreements, and acquisitions for identified locations.
- Handle negotiations related to easements, licenses, and leases for transmission lines.
- Conduct thorough due diligence and research on project background information, resource and site assessments, connectivity issues, feasibility studies, environmental and risk assessments, and secure sites through land option agreements.
- Monitor progress on planned greenfield projects, including regional spatial plans, land use plans, and development plans.
- Establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, such as local land agents, brokers, property owners, community representatives, and local and state authorities, to facilitate property search and permitting processes.
- Perform property examinations and assess historical, financial, and legal aspects for easements.
- Support the project development team by planning, scheduling, and tracking project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools and refining existing processes.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, proposals, requirements documents, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and develop contingency plans.
- Participate in meetings with government and regulatory representatives to advocate for favourable decisions and secure growth opportunities for the company.


- Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in developing solar or wind projects, or equivalent experience in site acquisition for various real estate development projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent negotiation abilities.
- Previous experience in identifying and acquiring greenfield properties.
- Proven ability to maintain relationships with property owners, government agencies, and communities; adept at negotiating agreements with property owners and possessing a comprehensive understanding of planning processes and grid connection procedures.
- Sales experience, confident demeanour, dedicated work ethic, and enjoyment of independent field work.
- Collaborative team player with flexibility, resilience, empathy, a proactive attitude, and a track record of overcoming challenges.
- Possession of a Class B driver's license.
- Knowledge and understanding of economic, regulatory, and demographic factors influencing greenfield project development, including search areas, development activities, commercial factors, and financing requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, business, law, renewable energy, geography, finance/investment/real estate, or equivalent experience in project development.
- Proficiency in German is essential, with ideally a working knowledge of English.
