
Land Manager
ROLE TITLE: Land Scouter
FUNCTION: Land scouting for project implementation
REGION: Italy
REPORTING: Business Development Director
LOCATION: Rome, Italy
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify optimal land for the development of new renewable energy projects in Italy (solar, wind, BESS).
• Visiting land close to connection points and presentation to local and regional bodies.
• Develop a database of land opportunities and contacts to grow the project portfolio.
• Analyse the viability of the project from a commercial and urban planning point of view.
• Conduct site due diligence, in coordination with internal technical team and external consultants if required.
• Carry out a preliminary analysis of the identified land (environmental, urban planning, legalisation). Conduct a study of the planning and regulations of each area.
• Prospecting, locating landowners to subsequently negotiate land contracts for the development and installation of renewable plants (negotiation of lease, purchase, expropriation or easement contracts) and managing and regularising the contracted land.
• Securing the land selected for the projects.
• Resolve and process all cadastral items related to land.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educational level:
- Bachelor's Degree/Graduate: Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Master's Degree in Renewable Energies or in Urban and Territorial Planning.
Experience:
- Experience in the renewable energy sector (solar PV, wind, BESS), preferably in land management, with a keen interest in the same, associated legislation.
COMPETENCE AND SKILLS
• Feasibility analysis of potential new areas for renewable energy projects.
• Experience in negotiation and dialogue with landowners for the closing of contracts.
• Knowledge of cadastral and urban environmental visualisation tools.
• Knowledge of GIS tools (QGIS, Google Earth) will be an asset.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Proactive person, with the ability to work independently, plan and negotiate. Results-oriented.
• Wide availability to travel nationwide
