We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Development Manager to join our fast growing team based in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our growing team, you will play a crucial role in driving our solar project development initiatives within the US.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from conception to construction-ready status
- Oversee major development milestones, including environmental due diligence, permitting, and interconnection activities
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, utilities, and regulatory agencies
- Analyze market trends and opportunities within ERCOT & other regions to inform strategic decision-making
- Manage and mentor a team of project developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and financial models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with company goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development, preferably in the solar, renewable energy, or energy storage sector
- Strong knowledge of the ERCOT market and regulatory landscape
- Proven track record of successfully developing utility-scale solar projects
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong understanding of energy markets, project finance, and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
