Senior Engineer, Project Development
A leading Energy company looking for a Senior Project development engineer with a background in HVAC and experience with Revit to help them work on new construction in renewable energy. The company has an extensive renewable energy portfolio as well as work on energy efficiency projects.
Job Overview
- This position involves leading the development of energy audits and performance contracts, focusing on energy conservation measures (ECMs) for HVAC, EMS, and building systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and Development: Assist engineers and project managers in creating ECMs, identifying and structuring technical and financial solutions to meet customer needs.
- Site Investigations: Conduct site visits and utility analyses, perform energy savings calculations, and design system retrofits.
- Software Use: Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Microsoft Excel) for mechanical designs and energy calculations.
- Leadership: Guide and develop junior engineers in mechanical system design and investment-grade audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; PE registration preferred.
- Preferred certifications: LEED AP, CEM.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in HVAC or EMS design; experience in plumbing or fire protection design is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
- Familiarity with performance contracting and energy conservation retrofits.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
This role requires a motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively, and willing to travel as needed.
