Location: Cork or Ireland remote

As a Solar EPC Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end execution of solar energy projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of solar installations from inception to completion. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, in collaboration with stakeholders and engineering teams.

  2. Resource Allocation: Allocate and manage project resources efficiently, ensuring that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed.

  3. Technical Oversight: Oversee all technical aspects of solar energy projects, including solar panel installation, wiring, and integration with electrical systems.

  4. Compliance and Permitting: Ensure projects adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals.

  5. Quality Control: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards to guarantee the highest level of system performance and reliability.

  6. Cost Management: Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures to ensure projects stay within budget.

  7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

  8. Safety: Promote and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all project personnel.

  9. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams to keep them informed about project progress and any changes.

  10. Schedule Adherence: Ensure projects are completed on time, and if delays occur, implement strategies to bring them back on schedule.

  11. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, plans, and records, to facilitate reporting and future project analysis.

  12. Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships.

  13. Change Management: Handle project changes effectively and adjust plans as needed to accommodate modifications.

  14. Commissioning and Testing: Oversee the commissioning and testing of solar systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.

  15. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.

  16. Project Closeout: Ensure a smooth project closeout process, including final inspections, client handover, and performance monitoring.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on solar EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of solar energy systems and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and renewable energy.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
