
Solar EPC Project Manager

Responsibilities
As a Solar EPC Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end execution of solar energy projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of solar installations from inception to completion. Key responsibilities include:

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, in collaboration with stakeholders and engineering teams.

Resource Allocation: Allocate and manage project resources efficiently, ensuring that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed.

Technical Oversight: Oversee all technical aspects of solar energy projects, including solar panel installation, wiring, and integration with electrical systems.

Compliance and Permitting: Ensure projects adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Quality Control: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards to guarantee the highest level of system performance and reliability.

Cost Management: Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures to ensure projects stay within budget.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

Safety: Promote and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all project personnel.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams to keep them informed about project progress and any changes.

Schedule Adherence: Ensure projects are completed on time, and if delays occur, implement strategies to bring them back on schedule.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, plans, and records, to facilitate reporting and future project analysis.

Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships.

Change Management: Handle project changes effectively and adjust plans as needed to accommodate modifications.

Commissioning and Testing: Oversee the commissioning and testing of solar systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.

Project Closeout: Ensure a smooth project closeout process, including final inspections, client handover, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, with a focus on solar EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and renewable energy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
