Job Title: Solar Pile Driver
Location: On-site, Michigan and Ohio
Qualifications:
- Possesses a minimum of 3 years verifiable experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Holds a valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of OSHA 10 certification.
- Capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including summer heat and winter cold.
- Able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrates the ability to stand and work on feet throughout the shift.
- Proficient in extensive walking throughout the workday on the job site.
- Possesses reliable transportation for commuting to the workplace.
- Proficient in speaking and writing English.
- Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Suitable for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
- Open to applicants without a college diploma.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company's safety policies and procedures.
- Provide recommendations to enhance environmental performance.
- Load and unload equipment and materials from vehicles and trailers.
- Ensure company equipment, materials, and work site are maintained, cleaned, and stored safely.
- Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
- Complete required paperwork, reporting, and documentation.
- Conduct daily walk around to inspect equipment prior to use.
- Assist, as needed, with setting up lasers and string line.
- Aid in placing piles onto the field with compact track loader before installation.
- Remediate piles for tolerances.
- Coordinate hand and foot movements to guide heavy machinery in confined spaces.
- Monitor equipment operations by reading gauges, dials, and indicators, adjusting as necessary.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills and teamwork on busy construction sites.
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate and select effective and cost-efficient problem-solving solutions.
- Perform work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
