Job Title: Solar Pile Driver

Location: On-site, Michigan and Ohio

Qualifications:

  • Possesses a minimum of 3 years verifiable experience operating heavy construction equipment.
  • Holds a valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of OSHA 10 certification.
  • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including summer heat and winter cold.
  • Able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrates the ability to stand and work on feet throughout the shift.
  • Proficient in extensive walking throughout the workday on the job site.
  • Possesses reliable transportation for commuting to the workplace.
  • Proficient in speaking and writing English.
  • Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Suitable for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
  • Open to applicants without a college diploma.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company's safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance environmental performance.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials from vehicles and trailers.
  • Ensure company equipment, materials, and work site are maintained, cleaned, and stored safely.
  • Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
  • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and documentation.
  • Conduct daily walk around to inspect equipment prior to use.
  • Assist, as needed, with setting up lasers and string line.
  • Aid in placing piles onto the field with compact track loader before installation.
  • Remediate piles for tolerances.
  • Coordinate hand and foot movements to guide heavy machinery in confined spaces.
  • Monitor equipment operations by reading gauges, dials, and indicators, adjusting as necessary.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and teamwork on busy construction sites.
  • Apply critical thinking to evaluate and select effective and cost-efficient problem-solving solutions.
  • Perform work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
