Job Title: Solar Utility-Scale Estimator
Location: United States (Remote or Project-Based, depending on client needs)

As a Solar Utility-Scale Estimator, you will play a critical role in supporting bid and proposal activity across large-scale solar PV projects, working closely with preconstruction, engineering, procurement, and construction leadership. You will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates that reflect real-world constructability and market conditions, directly influencing project win rates and long-term profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for utility-scale solar PV projects from early-stage conceptual through IFC-level bids

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes to develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate assumptions and execution strategies

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Identify risk, value-engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies

• Support bid reviews, clarifications, and client presentations as required

Qualifications:

• Proven experience estimating utility-scale solar PV projects with an EPC or major subcontractor

• Strong understanding of civil, electrical, and balance-of-plant scopes

• Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and takeoff tools

• Ability to work across multiple bids in fast-paced environments

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
