2014
Steven Rawlingson founds Samuel Knight, naming it after his grandad with just a team of 4 staff members in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
2015
We secured a significant rail electrification project worth £4 million with ABC.
2016
2017
2018
Created a board of directors with over 40 years of experience. Carl Moffett joined as CFO, strengthening senior management.
2019
2020
Paul Kaiser joined as chairman, bringing significant staffing sector experience. Moved into a spacious 12,000 sq ft facility with modern amenities. Dan Kerr became MD of Samuel Knight Energy. Lisa Whitwell joined as FD, enhancing finance operations.
2021
Launched in the USA in Dallas, achieving $10.7 million USD within 7 months of trading.
2022
Established Samuel Knight Tech under Jorel Bautista. Formed Samuel Knight Holdings and established Samuel Knight Projects. Now have 4 specialist companies focused on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Transportation recruitment, delivering engineering and technology solutions.
2023
Kenzie Morris and Dave Allen joined the board of Samuel Knight USA. Invested heavily in new staff and solidified purpose, mission, and values. Created a plan to achieve £50 million in sales by 2025.
2024
Appointment of our new Chairman, Paul Beeke. This strategic move is part of our ongoing efforts to empower a sustainable future through exceptional talent and to also supplement our Board’s experience.
