Our client is a well-established solar EPC with a strong track record of delivering utility-scale solar PV projects safely, on schedule, and profitably. They are a contractor-first business that values practical leadership, accountability, and Project Managers who are hands-on in how projects are planned and executed — not roles that simply coordinate from a distance.

This Project Manager role is for someone who genuinely runs work. You will be responsible for building and owning the project schedule, driving daily execution, managing cost and productivity, and being actively involved in decision-making on site. This is not an “orchestration-only” role — you are expected to understand the work, challenge assumptions, and take control of delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Own the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar projects from notice to proceed through commissioning and closeout

• Develop, maintain, and actively manage detailed project schedules (not just review them)

• Directly manage site teams, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure work is executed to plan

• Control project budgets, forecasts, change management, and cost reporting

• Lead weekly and daily coordination meetings with real accountability for actions and outcomes

• Interface directly with clients, owners’ engineers, inspectors, and internal leadership

• Identify risks early and implement corrective actions in real time

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing utility-scale solar PV projects for an EPC or self-performing contractor

• Demonstrated ability to build and manage schedules and drive work in the field

• Strong understanding of civil, electrical, and balance-of-plant scopes

• Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, change orders, and cost controls

• Comfortable being accountable for outcomes, not just coordination
