At Samuel Knight, we believe in the spirit of giving back, especially during the festive season. This year, we are proud to have chosen Cash for Kids: Mission Christmas as our charity of choice. With thousands of children in the UK facing the harsh reality of poverty, we want to ensure that no child wakes up without presents on Christmas Day.

Mission Christmas: Bringing Joy to Less Fortunate Children

Cash for Kids supports children and young people dealing with poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness, and additional needs. The organization's mission is clear — to bring the joy and magic of Christmas to those who need it most. Through the generosity of donors and supporters, Mission Christmas makes a tangible difference in the lives of less fortunate children.

Samuel Knight's Festive Fundraising Activities

This festive season, we went all out with a series of fundraising activities to support Cash for Kids. Here's a glimpse of what we did:

• Christmas Jumper Day - a staple of any festive fundraising effort; a great way for everybody to get involved & show off their festive knits.
• Festive Wreath Making - Wreath Making was a new one for all of us! The afternoon consisted of mulled wine & (questionable) wreath making skills!
• SKI Raffle - Our raffle was held during our annual close off presentation with prizes including vouchers for local restaurants & bars and extra work benefits such as additional holiday allowance!
• Weekly Bake Sale - A hit in the SKI office, where fresh sugary goods were enjoyed guilt-free, all in the name of charity.
• SK Toy Collection/Donation - Throughout December, we collected toys for children of all ages and donated them to Cash for Kids warehouses, ensuring they reached families who could make the most use of them
• Christmas Pie the Managers - Finally, it isn’t every day you get your own back on your managers but this was one of them days! At a modest £5 per pie, a small price to pay for a ‘risk free’ pie to your bosses face – who could say no! It’s safe to say a fair portion of our total was raised that day.

In total, £463.65 was raised throughout December alongside a whole host of toys purchased to be donated! Cash for Kids is an incredible cause; making a huge impact on thousands of families across the UK. We had a great time partaking in our fundraising at SKI – we couldn’t be happier with what we raised & it was a great way to round off our year.
