Project Manager – Substations & Transmission Line EPC Projects (m/f/d)

We’re working with an international engineering consultancy supporting the delivery of large-scale substation and transmission line EPC projects across Europe. As part of their expansion into the UK and international markets, they are hiring a Project Manager with deep technical expertise in high-voltage substations and control & protection systems.
This is a senior opportunity to lead complex electrical infrastructure projects across 132kV–400kV networks.
Your Responsibilities

Manage full EPC lifecycle for high-voltage substations and transmission lines in the UK and Spain

Oversee protection and control systems including relay coordination, SCADA integration (IEC 61850), and FAT testing
-
Coordinate project design and delivery across multidisciplinary engineering teams

Lead communication with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies

Ensure project execution meets contractual obligations, deadlines, and compliance standards

Support commercial strategy by identifying new opportunities within the transmission and grid sector
Ideal Background
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

Experience with UK and Spanish voltage levels (132kV–400kV)
-
Strong background in substation design, protection systems, and SCADA protocols

Familiarity with cable routing, sizing, and HV connections is a plus
-
Proven ability to manage large-scale EPC projects with client-facing responsibilities

Experience working with international standards and EPC contractors

Fluent in English; Spanish language skills are beneficial
