Salary: €50,000 per annum

The Contract & Claim Manager supports bid and project management activities by providing expert contract, commercial, and claim management support across the full project lifecycle. The role focuses on identifying contractual risks and opportunities, supporting claims, and ensuring contractual compliance during both bid and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities

Contract & Claim Support

• Support contract and claim management activities within the defined area of responsibility.

• Identify contractual obligations, risks, and opportunities with a focus on commercial and technical aspects.

• Identify and develop claim opportunities during project execution.

• Support claims involving external stakeholders, partners, and suppliers in close coordination with Legal and Project Management teams.

Tender & Bid Management Support

• Analyse and comment on tenders, contracts, and contract-related documentation.

• Coordinate with Legal and other internal stakeholders during bid reviews.

• Utilise internal tools to support identification of contractual risks and opportunities in alignment with legal and technical experts.

• Support internal approval processes and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures.

• Ensure alignment and consistency between technical, commercial, and legal inputs during bid preparation.

Project Execution Support

• Contribute to contract workshops, including project handover and lessons learned sessions.

• Ensure compliance with contractual rights and obligations towards partners, suppliers, and other external stakeholders as part of the project management core team.

• Support project management with contract-related topics, including variations and change orders.

• Align closely with Legal on all contractual matters.

• Support the development and implementation of risk and opportunity management strategies.

• Support procurement teams in drafting contractual documents, ensuring appropriate risk flow-down to subcontractors and suppliers.

Claim Management

• Develop, implement, and regularly review claim strategies for partners, suppliers, and other external stakeholders in collaboration with project management.

• Identify, assess, and manage all events relevant to incoming and outgoing claims.

• Collect, prepare, and manage claim-related documentation and evidence in line with contractual requirements and deadlines.

• Prepare for and participate in claim negotiations.

• Contribute to claim reporting for internal project teams and business stakeholders.

• Support Legal in arbitration, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution processes where required.

Standardisation & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the standardisation of bid and project management templates.

• Support the continuous improvement, updating, and governance of relevant contract and claim management processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Law, Business, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in contract and claim management within large-scale project environments.

• Strong understanding of commercial contracts and risk management.

• Experience supporting bids and live project execution phases.

• Confident working with legal, technical, commercial, and procurement teams.

• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in complex project environments.
