Project Engineer – Utility-Scale Solar (Based in LA)

Our client, a well-established player in the utility-scale solar sector, is looking to add a Project Engineer to their growing team. Based in Los Angeles, this role will support the successful execution of utility-scale solar projects. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and a strong interest in solar, with prior experience in the industry preferred. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most innovative renewable energy projects in the country, with a salary of up to $110,000.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to the construction team during the execution of utility-scale solar projects.
- Collaborate with the project management and construction teams to ensure that designs are implemented effectively and in accordance with specifications.
- Assist with coordinating and managing the procurement and logistics of materials and equipment.
- Review and verify engineering drawings, specifications, and designs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met while maintaining timelines and budgets.
- Assist in managing project risks and resolving engineering-related issues during construction.
- Support project documentation and reporting, ensuring that all technical records are properly maintained and submitted.
Required Experience:
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or other relevant fields).
- Experience supporting large-scale construction projects, ideally within the solar industry.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to solve engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of utility-scale solar project design and construction processes is preferred, though specialization in one area (mechanical, electrical, civil) is not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
