Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field construction operations for Hyperscale Data Center projects throughout Texas. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily onsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and Google standards.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading large-scale mission-critical or industrial construction projects, with strong knowledge of construction sequencing, MEP coordination, site logistics, and fast-track project execution in high-performance environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily field operations for active Google Data Center construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project schedule and productivity goals.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Develop and manage short-term schedules, look-ahead plans, and site logistics coordination.
- Conduct daily coordination meetings, subcontractor planning sessions, and field walkthroughs.
- Monitor construction progress and proactively identify and resolve schedule conflicts, field issues, and resource constraints.
- Coordinate inspections, testing activities, commissioning support, and turnover readiness.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Safety Managers, Quality teams, engineers, and client representatives to maintain alignment on project goals.
- Enforce OSHA regulations, Google safety standards, and site-specific safety protocols across all field activities.
- Review and coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field documentation as needed.
- Support workforce planning, manpower coordination, and subcontractor performance management.
- Maintain detailed daily reports, site documentation, and project progress updates.
- Drive accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement across all site operations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience in mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial construction.
- Strong experience managing large-scale data center or hyperscale construction projects preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and critical infrastructure environments.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and fast-paced field operations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar platforms preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout Texas as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, or other hyperscale data center projects.
- Experience with fast-track construction schedules and multi-building campus developments.
- Familiarity with commissioning, integrated systems testing, and turnover procedures.
- Experience managing high-risk construction activities and complex site logistics.

Work Environment:
- Primarily based on active construction sites requiring extensive field presence and PPE compliance.
