Electrical Superintendent

Location: Washington, DC

Position Summary

The Electrical Superintendent leads daily field operations for large electrical construction projects. The role is responsible for workforce direction, safety, productivity, logistics, material coordination, installation quality, and schedule performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct foremen, electricians, apprentices, and supporting field personnel.

• Plan daily and weekly construction activities.

• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, deliveries, and work areas.

• Monitor installed quantities, productivity, and schedule performance.

• Enforce jobsite safety and environmental requirements.

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and other trades.

• Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, and production information.

• Review installations for compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.

• Support testing, energization, commissioning, and project turnover.

Qualifications

• Extensive electrical construction field experience.

• Previous leadership experience as a Superintendent or General Foreman.

• Strong knowledge of electrical installation methods and building codes.

• Demonstrated ability to lead sizeable field teams.

• Ability to read drawings, specifications, schedules, and one-line diagrams.

• OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.

• Journeyman-level electrical credentials are beneficial.

Working Conditions
