Senior Project Developer – Renewable Energies (f/m/d)
Location: Germany (Hybrid)
We are supporting a leading European project developer and asset manager in the renewable energy sector as they expand their team. With over 25 years of experience and a strong international footprint, the company develops and manages sustainable energy infrastructure projects including solar, wind, hydro, and battery storage across Germany, Finland, and Canada.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and dynamic organisation driving the energy transition forward. You will be part of a collaborative, mid-sized team with offices across Europe and North America, and will take ownership of renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to construction readiness.
Your Responsibilities

Lead the development of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and battery storage) through to the ready-to-build stage.

Manage site visits and engage with landowners, municipalities, and local authorities.

Oversee permitting and approval processes, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.

Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and negotiate contractual agreements with confidence.

Present projects to local officials and political representatives to gain project support.

Work closely with legal, communications, and technical teams to support planning documentation and submission.
Your Profile

Degree or equivalent training in a technical, commercial, or planning-related discipline (e.g., renewable energy, engineering, business administration, urban planning).

At least 5 years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects (PV or wind); experience with battery storage systems is a plus.

Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management experience.

Proficiency in German (C1+) is essential; other languages are a plus.

Skilled in MS Office and familiar with project management methodologies and tools.

Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.

Valid Class B driving licence and willingness to travel within Germany.
