MEP COORDINATOR - DATA CENTER MISSION CRITICAL

n established general contractor with a secured pipeline of hyperscale and mission-critical projects is looking for an MEP Coordinator to drive mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination across its data center builds.

Coordination sets the pace on these projects. Get it right up front and the installation runs clean through to commissioning, which makes this a role with genuine influence on delivery and a direct route into MEP management.

The Role

• Lead MEP coordination from model development through to sign-off and release for installation
• Run clash detection and coordination meetings with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection trade partners
• Work with design teams to resolve conflicts and close out RFIs ahead of installation
• Review shop drawings and submittals for constructability and compliance with the design intent
• Track coordination progress against the construction schedule and flag risk to the project team
• Support the field team by making sure installation sequence and hanger and sleeve layouts are agreed in advance
• Maintain as-built and record documentation through the project
• Support the commissioning team with system-level information as the project moves into testing

What Is Needed

• 3+ years of MEP coordination experience in commercial construction
• Mission-critical or data center experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of BIM coordination software and model-based workflows
• Solid understanding of critical power and cooling systems and how they are installed
• Confident chairing coordination meetings and holding trade partners to deadlines
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
• OSHA 30 preferred
